didericis 47268f6fd6 feat(orchestrator+egress): slice 8 — multi-tenant egress via the resolver (#352)
The egress addon now selects each request's Config by the calling bottle's
source IP, so one shared sidecar serves every bottle. Opt-in and fail-closed;
single-tenant behaviour is unchanged.

Orchestrator side (source-IP-primary attribution, per the PRD invariant):
  * registry: `by_source_ip` (the single active bottle at a source IP —
    network-layer attribution); `attribute` now composes it + the token.
  * service: `resolve(source_ip, token="")` — with a token, strict
    attribution; without, source IP alone.
  * control_plane: `POST /resolve`'s identity_token is now OPTIONAL (absent
    → source-IP-only); split cleanly from the token-required `/attribute`.
  * policy_resolver: `resolve` token now optional.

Egress side:
  * egress_addon_core: `resolve_client_config(resolver, client_ip, token)` —
    fetches + parses the client's Config, **fail-closed**: unattributed, a
    resolver error, or an unparseable policy all yield deny-all (no routes).
    Host-testable; `PolicyResolverLike` Protocol keeps it import-free.
  * egress_addon: consolidated mode when `BOT_BOTTLE_ORCHESTRATOR_URL` is
    set → `_active_config(flow)` resolves per client IP (reads + strips the
    `x-bot-bottle-identity` header); `request()` uses it. Unset → the static
    routes file, exactly as before. `PolicyResolver` added to the bundle.

Security note: source-IP-only resolution is safe where the IP is unspoofable
(Firecracker /31 + nft) AND the control plane is reachable only by the
trusted sidecar; the identity token, when the agent injects it, strengthens
it on weaker backends.

Scope note: the egress data plane is now multi-tenant. Remaining to be fully
live: the network topology routing every bottle's proxy to the one shared
sidecar, git-gate multitenancy, and agent-side identity-token injection.

Tests: registry by_source_ip; orchestrator resolve (with/without token);
control-plane /resolve token-optional; resolver token-optional;
resolve_client_config fail-closed matrix. All 182 egress tests still pass
(single-tenant unchanged). Full suite green.

didericis 590f3cebd7 refactor: move bot_bottle_root/host_db_path to paths; kill the monkeypatch (#352)
Create bot_bottle/paths.py as the canonical home for the app-root path
helpers (bot_bottle_root, host_db_path, HOST_DB_FILENAME) — foundational,
not supervise- or db-specific. `bot_bottle_root()` now honours a
BOT_BOTTLE_ROOT env override.

Repoint every consumer (supervise, supervise_types, db_store, queue_store,
audit_store, store_manager, bottle_state, cli/supervise, docker/cleanup,
orchestrator/registry) at paths; remove the definitions (and supervise's
duplicate host_db_path) and the now-dead `import sys`. Add paths.py to the
sidecar bundle (Dockerfile.sidecars) for the flat-import copies.

Tests: replace ~12 files' monkeypatching of supervise.bot_bottle_root (and
the flat/pkg/supervise_types triple-patch dance) with a single
`use_bottle_root()` helper that sets BOT_BOTTLE_ROOT — every module and
flat/package copy reads the same env var, so one override covers them all.
Net -97 lines. Behaviour-preserving: full unit suite unchanged (only the
pre-existing /bin/sleep sidecar-init errors remain).

didericis c07ebca867 feat(backend): remove smolmachines; firecracker is the Linux default
lint / lint (push) Successful in 1m54s

test / integration (pull_request) Successful in 18s
test / coverage (pull_request) Failing after 1m3s
Delete the smolmachines backend (the whole bot_bottle/backend/smolmachines
package and its tests). It had fatal Linux issues (TSI networking under
sustained use, exec-channel contention, no SIGWINCH) and is superseded by
the Firecracker backend (issue #342).

Backend selection now:
- default is macos-container on macOS, firecracker on KVM-capable Linux
  hosts, and docker as the last resort (was smolmachines).
- firecracker is selected on a KVM host even when the `firecracker`
  binary isn't installed, so start routes through its preflight and
  prints an install pointer (same UX as require_container), instead of
  silently falling back. Split is_host_capable() (Linux + KVM) out of
  is_available() (adds the binary check) to drive this.

Retarget the cross-backend tests (parity, print-parity, prepare,
workspace, freezer, selection) from smolmachines to firecracker rather
than dropping the coverage. Remove docker.util.image_id/save, which only
smolmachines used. Update README/AGENTS/example bottles and stale
comments; historical docs/prds are left as a point-in-time record.

BREAKING: BOT_BOTTLE_BACKEND=smolmachines now errors as unknown.

didericis-claude e7e8c7fdb4 refactor: extract supervise types to _supervise_types, eliminate get_supervise_mod()
Proposal, Response, AuditEntry, host_db_path, bot_bottle_root, and their
shared constants/helpers are moved to a new _supervise_types.py module.
queue_store and audit_store now import these directly instead of deferring
through get_supervise_mod() at call time.

host_db_path() in _supervise_types uses sys.modules[__name__].bot_bottle_root()
so monkey-patches on _supervise_types.bot_bottle_root propagate through it.
supervise.host_db_path() is re-defined to call bot_bottle_root() through
supervise's own globals, preserving patchability for callers that go through
the supervise module.

Test fixtures that create stores without an explicit db_path now patch
_sv_types.bot_bottle_root alongside supervise.bot_bottle_root. The server
test patches both flat and package _supervise_types since handle_tools_call
runs in the package context while the responder thread uses the flat module.

Dockerfile.sidecars gets a COPY for _supervise_types.py so the sidecar
bundle retains its flat import chain.

Follow-up to issuecomment-2872 on PR #320.

Moves _QueueStore → bot_bottle/queue_store.py (public QueueStore) and
_AuditStore → bot_bottle/audit_store.py (public AuditStore). Removes
the public queue_db_path() function; QueueStore resolves the DB path
via host_db_path() on the host, or via the SUPERVISE_DB_PATH env var
in the sidecar container (internal mechanism, not public API).

Adds queue_store.py and audit_store.py to Dockerfile.sidecars so the
sidecar bundle picks them up. Updates __all__ in supervise.py.

`egress_addon_core.py` mixed the per-route `dlp:` block parser
(`_parse_detectors` plus the detector-name and `outbound_on_match`
constants) in with the request-time scan/decision flow. Move that
config-parsing layer into a new stdlib-only `egress_dlp_config.py` as
`parse_dlp_block`, so the decision path in the core module reads
top-to-bottom without scrolling past config plumbing.

The constants and parser are re-exported from `egress_addon_core`
(and listed in `__all__`) so existing `from egress_addon_core import
ON_MATCH_*` / `OUTBOUND_DETECTOR_NAMES` callers are unchanged. The new
module ships flat into the sidecar bundle (Dockerfile.sidecars) and
uses the same flat/package import shim as its siblings. Pure refactor;
behavior and wire format unchanged.

Closes #287

didericis-claude 726713d081 feat(egress): implement PRD 0053 — DLP addon with Gateway API matches
lint / lint (push) Failing after 1m43s
test / unit (pull_request) Successful in 40s
test / integration (pull_request) Successful in 50s
Replace path_allowlist with Gateway API HTTPRoute match vocabulary
(paths, methods, headers with AND/OR semantics) and add DLP scanning
to the egress proxy:

- Token pattern detection (AWS, GitHub, Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, JWT)
- Known secret detection (EGRESS_TOKEN_* with base64/URL/hex variants)
- Naive prompt injection detection (disclosure + credential, jailbreak)
- Per-route DLP configuration via manifest dlp block
- Inbound response scanning with block/warn severity

didericis c06decd53d chore(sidecars): re-add EXPOSE with documentation comment
test / unit (pull_request) Successful in 20s

Reverts the earlier removal — EXPOSE is doc-only on the
renderer-driven publish path, but keeping it in the Dockerfile
(with the comment naming it as such) documents the bundle's
port surface for anyone reading the file.

didericis 61f63684ac feat(sidecars): bundle image + Python init supervisor (PRD 0024 chunk 1)
test / unit (pull_request) Successful in 22s
test / integration (pull_request) Successful in 1m12s
New Dockerfile.sidecars multi-stage build: pulls the pinned
pipelock and gitleaks binaries into a mitmproxy-base final image,
installs git + openssh-client, and ships the project's egress
addon + supervise server alongside a stdlib-Python init at
/app/sidecar_init.py.

The init supervisor (claude_bottle/sidecar_init.py) is PID 1 in
the bundle. It spawns the daemons named in
CLAUDE_BOTTLE_SIDECAR_DAEMONS (or all four by default),
propagates SIGTERM/SIGINT to children with an 8s grace before
SIGKILL, and exits with the first-unexpected-child exit code so
a daemon crash tears down the bundle (per PRD 0024 open
question 1's default).

claude_bottle/egress_entrypoint.sh extracted verbatim from
Dockerfile.egress's prior inline sh -c so the supervisor can
call it as a normal child.

Tests:
- unit: _selected_daemons env-var subset behavior (7 cases),
  _Supervisor signal/exit-code semantics including SIGKILL
  escalation, and end-to-end main() via subprocess.
- integration: builds the image and probes that pipelock,
  gitleaks, mitmdump, and the supervise Python module are
  present + executable, plus a no-daemons-selected smoke test
  of the entrypoint wiring. Skipped under act_runner (200+MB
  base pulls + multi-stage build).

Renderer collapse and the deletion of Dockerfile.{egress,git-gate,
supervise} land in chunk 2 + 3.
