`doctor` told users to run `./cli.py backend setup`. cli.py is a four-line
wrapper at the repo root that calls bot_bottle.cli:main, and it does not ship —
[tool.setuptools.packages.find] includes only bot_bottle*, so anyone who
installed rather than cloned has no such file. Confirmed against a real
install: the user's tree contains exactly one executable, `bot-bottle`, and no
cli.py anywhere, while doctor recommended `./cli.py` three times. Invisible in
development, where ./cli.py works fine from a checkout, which is why only a
clean-install test surfaced it.
The two entry points are the same code, so the fix is to name the one that
always exists. 141 replacements across 45 files: the runtime messages that
caused this, plus README, docs, PRDs, research notes and test prose, so nothing
teaches the invocation a user cannot run.
scripts/demo.sh is deliberately untouched — it *executes* ./cli.py from a
checkout, where that is the correct and available path.
Verified end to end: a sandbox install now reports
"Run: bot-bottle backend setup --backend=firecracker", and bot-bottle is on
that user's PATH. Unit suite unchanged against the pre-existing baseline.

Flip Status: Draft -> Active for the 23 PRDs whose work has shipped to
main (including 0027, now that PR #95 has merged). Leaves the
terminal-status PRDs unchanged: 0007 and 0010 (Superseded) and 0014
(Retargeted) were replaced, not shipped as-is.

Delete CLAUDE.md in favor of AGENTS.md as the orientation doc, rebrand
the project from Codex-bottle to provider-agnostic bot-bottle, and
repoint every CLAUDE.md reference across PRDs, research notes, the
implementer agent example, and the yaml_subset comment.

claude-bottle has a single primary user today; an automated
JSON → MD migration tool is overkill. Hand-rewriting one file
is the migration cost. The resolver still dies with a pointer
at the README's manifest section if a stale claude-bottle.json
is found alongside no .claude-bottle/ directory, so the breaking
change isn't silent.
Drops: SC #6 (migration tool), the "Migration command" In Scope
sub-bullet, the migrate_manifest.py / cli wiring entries from
Existing code touched, the tests/integration/test_migrate_manifest.py
entry from Tests, the destructive-vs-additive open question.
Renumbers the remaining success criteria 6, 7 (formerly 7, 8).
Backward-compat section rewritten around hand-rewrite.
Specs the implementation chosen in the PR #16 closing comment:
per-file MD-with-YAML-frontmatter layout for both bottles and
agents, with a hand-rolled YAML subset parser (no PyYAML).
Layout:
- $HOME/.claude-bottle/bottles/<name>.md (home-only)
- $HOME/.claude-bottle/agents/<name>.md (home agents)
- $CWD/.claude-bottle/agents/<name>.md (repo-supplied agents)
The trust boundary that PRD-0011-v1 (closed PR #15) tried to
enforce in the resolver now falls out of filesystem layout —
$CWD/.claude-bottle/ has no bottles/ subdir, the loader doesn't
look there. Filesystem layout IS the enforcement.
Eight success criteria, including: stdlib-only (no new runtime
dep), idempotent migration command, agent files shaped close to
Claude Code's existing subagent spec so the same file can drop
into ~/.claude/agents/.
PRD-only; no implementation in this commit. PRD slot 0011 is
intentionally reused — the v1 file was never merged to main.
